Summer has officially arrived in the Pikes Peak region, and this weekend could not be more packed with reasons to get outside and celebrate. We are heading into one of the most meaningful weekends of the year, with Juneteenth and then Friday, Father’s Day on Sunday, and the Summer Solstice tucked right in between. Whether you are planning to catch a world-class race, take in some live music, discover handcrafted art, or simply soak in everything that makes Colorado Springs such a special place to call home, there is something on the schedule for everyone. Here is your full rundown of what is happening June 19-21, 2026 across the Colorado Springs and Pikes Peak region.

 

FRIDAY, JUNE 19 | JUNETEENTH

Southern Colorado Juneteenth Festival (Day 1)

The 6th Annual Southern Colorado Juneteenth Festival kicks off its three-day run at the Norris Penrose Indoor Event Center, bringing together the community for a powerful and joyful celebration featuring national recording artists, local step show performances, a car show, fashion show, health fair, food vendors, and activities for all ages. National headliners include V.I.C., best known for the hit “Wobble,” and David Banner. This festival is completely free and open to everyone.

Concrete Couch Juneteenth Music & Arts Festival

Celebrate Juneteenth with a community gathering at Concrete Couch (Concrete Coyote) featuring live music from DJ Chris Beasley, the artist My Name Is Harriett, and the PPMA Chamber Orchestra with vocalist Iyanla Ayite. Round it out with BBQ on the grill, arts and crafts, and a fun obstacle course from Whealthy. It is a free afternoon celebration rooted in community and creativity.

SATURDAY, JUNE 20

PBR Space Cowboys Presented by the U.S. Space Force – Tim McGraw & Chris Janson

This is the can’t-miss event of the weekend. The Professional Bull Riders are teaming up with the U.S. Space Force and Grammy Award-winning superstar Tim McGraw, along with multi-platinum country artist Chris Janson, for a one-of-a-kind celebration of America’s 250th anniversary at Falcon Stadium. Thirty of the world’s top bull riders will compete in team format, and the concert and bull riding action will be broadcast nationally on FOX Nation. Family-friendly activation zones open at 1:00 PM with interactive U.S. Space Force exhibits and live entertainment.

June Jubilee – Summer Solstice Art and Music Festival (Day 1)

One of Downtown Colorado Springs’ most beloved annual traditions returns to Acacia Park for the Summer Solstice celebration. More than 80 juried artists will fill the shaded pathways of this historic park with stunning visual art and handcrafted goods, all set to the soundtrack of live local music. This is a wonderful event to browse unique artwork, support local makers, and enjoy the heart of the city in beautiful summer weather. It is completely free to attend.

Water Lantern Festival at Memorial Park

One of the most magical evenings you can experience in Colorado Springs, the Water Lantern Festival returns to Prospect Lake at Memorial Park. Each ticket includes a lantern kit, LED candle, and markers so you can personalize your lantern with messages of love, hope, and dreams before setting it gently on the water for a stunning communal launch. Live music and food trucks fill the evening leading up to the lantern release. This sells out quickly, so grab tickets in advance.

If you are looking for a low-key, family-friendly Friday evening, the free First & Main Summer Concert Series is the perfect spot. Head to the park across from Cinemark at First & Main for live music from a local band, balloon animals by Marvelous Marc, local vendor booths, and a great neighborhood atmosphere. These Friday evening concerts run through mid-July and never disappoint.

Vendors from across the state bring Colorado-dug specimens including polished gems, hand-crafted jewelry, rough slabs, geodes, cabochons, and genuine Cripple Creek turquoise. Car enthusiasts will want to head up to Cripple Creek on Saturday for the Rocky Mountain Mustang Roundup Show n’ Shine, a showcase of classic and contemporary Ford Mustangs from across the region. If you pair it with the nearby Mineral and Gem Show in Victor, you can make a full day of mountain exploring with two great events in one scenic drive.

Pikes Peak International Hill Climb – Race Day 2026

The Race to the Clouds is one of the most iconic motorsports events in America, and Race Day 2026 falls right on Father’s Day. The 104th running of the Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, presented by Gran Turismo, sends competitors up a 12.42-mile fully paved course with 156 turns, climbing from 9,390 feet to the 14,115-foot summit of America’s Mountain. The green flag drops at 7:30 AM, with gates opening at 2:30 AM for spectators who want premium positioning. Tickets must be purchased in advance and are sold by spectator area with parking included. This is a bucket-list event for any Colorado Springs resident or visitor.
